چکیده
Currently, operating electrical power systems (EPS) is a complex task that relies on the experience of operators or strength algorithms developed for autonomous operation. The continuous operation EPS vulnerable to intentional cybernetic and physical attacks. With most significant extension distribution in EPS, transmission lines are exposed potential Before this, entire behavior changes, and, occasions, blackout can even be generated. present investigation focused developing methodology reconfiguring system against attacks, considering topology change through optimal switching (OTS) based DC flows quantifying contingency index, which allows identification weaknesses EPS. was applied IEEE 30−bus system, contingencies were randomly generated, as typical with study successfully identified reconfiguration strategy OTS-DC, mitigating problems such line loadability voltage angle deviation nodes.

This paper narrates an application of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for economic load dispatch. The main objective function is to optimize the Fuel cost and Active power loss by considering the power flows within the allowable limits. The PSO is simple in concept and easy in implementation. It does not require any derivative information, sure and fast convergence. Moreover, the problem can ...
متن کاملOptimal Transmission Line Switching under Geomagnetic Disturbances
In recent years, there have been increasing concerns about how geomagnetic disturbances (GMDs) impact electrical power systems. Geomagnetically-induced currents (GICs) can saturate transformers, induce hot spot heating and increase reactive power losses. These effects can potentially cause catastrophic damage to transformers and severely impact the ability of a power system to deliver power. To...
متن کاملImprovement of DC Optimal Power Flow Problem Based on Nodal Approximation of Transmission Losses
This paper presents a method to improve the accuracy of DC Optimal Power Flow problem, based on evaluating some nodal shares of transmission losses, and illustrates its efficiency through comparing with the conventional DCOPF solution, as well as the full AC one. This method provides three main advantages, confirming its efficiency: 1- It results in such generation levels, line flows, and noda...
متن کاملmortality forecasting based on lee-carter model
over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...
